I think that the story behind the Queensryche album Operation : Mindcrime, could be made into a great Movie/Musical/Play/Oprah, or something like that? I really think the whole plot would be great for a movie, and would probably, if directed well, and of course acted well, be highly successful. Although, I could also see it being made into a musical/Oprah of some sort with the scene being changed for every song, the way it's so dramatic. Give me your thoughts even if you completely disagree.

It definitely has the right elements for a production of some sort. I would love to see it as Broadway performance; however, unless the band has control over how it is developed in any type of production, writers could use artistic license to completely take away from what the original vision of OM was and is.

Hell yeah! It could be produced like a movie / theater play. You were so right LadyInBlack94 :) I would also love to see it as Broadway performance! If the original view of the band will not be covered totally then it isn't worth producing it.

As of 2006, Geoff Tate and screenwriter Mark Shepherd have complete a script for Operation Mindcrime 1 and 2, but as far as i'm aware, they're still waiting on someone to buy it.

Yep Pigeon has it right. Geoff made some type of screen appearance recently but I don't recall what it was now.

I actually wrote a story titled "Mindcrime" which is, yes, a fleshed-out story that corresponds with the album. However, I did it for an assignment & couldn't make it as long as I wanted - I should go back to it. I do a lot of fan-fiction, what can I say...
